The slackers finally create a post!

This is Luke's first time going to a water park. It was back in mid-August and we had our wonderful friends, the Turners, come with us. It was really fun to see Luke in the open water. He's really only ever taken a bath. This was a lot more for him. By the time we were done he was so tired!

Here's some of the Turners that came with us.

Ahh yes, the chocolate syrup incident. Luke has been enjoying playing with random containers of food items we've had. I thought the chocolate syrup container would be fun for him because it was a different shape and color than he had played with before. The lid wasn't on as tight as I thought. Clearly, I was wrong.

Amazingly enough all of this came out in the wash!

Here's some photo's from our September trip to Delta.

Luke teaching Conlan some piano skills.

 He loves his vitamin bottle!

We helped to watch the Grant kids from our ward so their parents could have a night out together. It was very crazy, though. We went from one kid to six kids! We survived, though. We even convinced Amy to come and helping us.

This is Ginny, Luke's girlfriend :)

Almost everyone hanging out in the family room watching Lion King.

Luke's favorite pastime lately, getting into the tupperware drawers.

After us girls met up for the Relief Society Broadcast we all came to our house afterwards for dessert. This is us hanging out!

Gregg's proud moment: our pumpkin patch. There's even more of them that either are buried in the garden or given to kids in the neighborhood.

Cute pic of Luke!

A not-so-cute pic of Luke. He was using the piano bench for support and he fell. Then the bench fell on top of him. It gave him a pretty good black eye and a cut across his eyelid. Gregg almost had to call DCFS on himself. :)

Our Trip to Omaha!!

At the end of July we took a trip to Omaha, Nebraska. We decided to fly out there which made this the first time Luke flew on an airplane. The moments when he was asleep were the best. :)

Those moments, however, were few and far between. On the way out was the worst. We had a layover in Denver which made it even worse. He cried all the way from Denver to Omaha. His crankiness wasn't all his fault, though. We missed our flight on the way out. We knew that we were cutting it close getting to our flight. We thought we could still make it until we saw that they closed the ticket desk 45 minutes before departure. We were there 35 minutes before and they would NOT let us get our tickets. We were SO mad!  They made us re-book, and the next available flight was 10 hours later!  So instead of flying out in the morning like we planned, we had to fly out in the evening when Luke is typically his crankiest. We did NOT miss our flight on the way back and thankfully he was a lot more manageable.

The rest of the trip was a lot less dramatic. We got to see a lot of extended family on Gregg's side. His Mom is from Omaha, and her 4 sisters, brother, and Mom live there with their families.  Susan is the only one who moved out to Utah!  So it was awesome seeing all of them, and her sister Nancy was gracious enough to take us in for those 4 nights we were there :)  While we were there we went to Collin and Judy's belated wedding reception/baby shower. They're expecting a baby boy mid-September and got some practice with Luke :)  We also spent time on Mike and Robin's boat out on the Missouri River.  Their pontoon was so fun! Luke did really well on the boat.  We also had a fun dinner party at Nancy's one night. We filled the rest of our time up with shopping, eating, and spending time with the family!  Here's some pics of the trip!

This is too funny! Ryan is with the other twins in the family and they look like triplets. Gregg feels like the odd one out compared to them.

Out on the pontoon!

Here's Aunt Nancy and Cousin Terry in the back chillin on the sand bar

Luke's 6 Month Photos!

We got a chance to take Luke's 6 month photos not too long ago and we love them! We met up with our cousin Mandi Jones who was willing to take the pics. She did a fantastic job, especially as Luke got grumpier as the photos went on. We appreciated her sharing her talents in keeping Luke looking toward the camera, for the most part. :) We took the photos at the same place we took our engagement photos. It was nice to see the place again and especially now that there's more green. Here are some of our faves...

From concrete pouring to our baby driving!

We've been having some fun the past couple months. When you go through our pictures you'll definitely be able to tell the focus of our attention. We just love our little baby Luke! He's growing and learning new things every day. Right now he is mastering his crawling technique. We're excited and terrified at the same time.

Grandma and Luke at the Styler concrete pour! Luke is worried he's gonna have to fix our mistakes.

Luke finally fit into his little frog pj's. It was huge! The label said 4-6 months, but he just barely fit into it when he's already wearing 9 month stuff.

Sporting the cute hat.

At the Miller's house in mid-June. He's swinging for the first time and all he cares about is eating the rope!

Luke's first 4th of July! He wasn't such a fan of the noise, though.

So this is the 4th of July? I'm not impressed.

This had to be Luke's favorite part of the parade: playing in Grandpa Julian's Montero.

Too bad his cousins aren't here to work the gas petal and brake.

Luke's first time seeing Uncle Ryan since he was born.
