Easter Weekend!!

We had a fun Easter weekend up here. This was Luke's first legit Easter where he could actually participate. On Saturday, the Grant's from our ward invited us to a potluck and Easter egg hunt at the Hunzeker's home. The McFall's, Sherzingers, and a couple other families from the ward were there, too.

Luke's looking back at the big kids having a story time while all the dad's hid the eggs

He loved the wooden rocking horse there

"So this is what all the Easter egg hunt hoopla is about? I'm not impressed."

"Okay, maybe I can get into this after all." :)

Cute little Ginny (Luke's "girlfriend")

"Ummm, how do you focus on finding eggs when this giant beast is staring at you?"

Not too shabby for a first timer

And then on Sunday, we had another Easter egg hunt at the Julian's after Sunday dinner. He seemed to have done a bit better the second time. His basket was packed. Granted, there was no competition at this hunt. :)

These are just some cute random pics

A family shot after Conlan's BYU graduation. Congrats bro!

Here's Gregg using his new birthday present. Even from the very beginning Luke seemed to love being in the bike trailer. He wouldn't even wait until good weather so we had to give him a ride around the family room.

A few days later.... the weather was good enough to go for a bike ride!

Luke was unsure at first being zipped up inside of this thing. :) He warmed up to the idea as the ride went on

Both Luke and Gregg had a great time and can't wait to do it again!

Recent Happenings!

Luke's first haircut! We can't believe we let his hair get this bad before we cut it. He actually was quite calm during the haircut. He actually seemed a bit curious and confused. We thought this would hold him over for a while, but we ended up having to cut it again a few days ago because it got ridiculous again! The second time we went a lot shorter.

This is the "After"

Lately we've been trying to get outside more with Luke. He didn't even realize how cooped up he's been this winter. Now he yells anytime we get near the front door because he wants to go outside. We've been going to some parks and he is loving it! These shots are from one of his first times ever playing on a playground.

He's been grabbing our pots and pans a lot lately. One day that was all he wanted to do.

I just thought he was so cute looking like Gregg watching TV :)

He's been loving his blocks that he got for his birthday. With how many gifts he got we've been trying to space out getting the presents out for him. Susan is very happy that we finally got the blocks out.

This is just a picture that I love! He's also sporting a rockin' bruise

Christmas and Luke's First Birthday

Christmas Eve at Luke's Great Grandma Julian's. Gerald and Christa are nice enough to host this event every year and it's always so much fun. We eat fairly traditional German food, do a white elephant gift exchange, and we each get giant plates of German candies and cookies courtesy of Christa. This year Luke was the life of the party (as you might expect)!

Hanging out with Grandma Julian

"I know that's a camera, Uncle Ryan. Duh!"

Playing with Great Grandma Julian

Luke got a really big, fluffy elephant chair that he loves. Thanks Christa and Gerald!

Giving the elephant chair some lovin'

Right before the white elephant gift exchange (P.S. it was all junk) :)

Luke's playing with the presents. Isn't he pretty?

Best present EVER!

Christmas morning was spent at Dave and Susan's. We all came up in our PJ's and there were tons of presents for us under the tree. It was great having Ryan and Kayla with us because we don't get to see them very much anymore.

Oooooo, better watch out elephant chair. Luke's got something new to love!

Thanks to everyone for making Luke's first Christmas so awesome! You did way more than you had to do.

Now on to Luke's first birthday! He was definitely a spoiled child. So many great gifts! Thanks Julian and Miller family for being so good to him!  He's lucky to have so many great people in his life.

"I'm so done opening these presents and being the center of attention!"

This, unfortunately, is one of Luke's favorite hobbies lately.

Sharice's awesome cake for Luke! :)
